Award Winning Chef Logan Alfred better known as Chef L.A.
Chef Logan Alfred, formerly known as Chef L.A., is the Owner and Operator of Southern Kreole Cravings & Pastries LLC, along with a mobile food trailer. He honed his culinary skills at the Louisiana Culinary Institute in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he earned his AOS in Culinary Arts. Chef Logan's journey in the culinary world led him through various positions in both traditional and fine dining restaurants across Louisiana. Additionally, he spent eight years working offshore, where he served as the youngest Camp Boss/Chief Steward for Ensco Offshore Catering. During this time, he had the privilege of learning valuable baking skills from seasoned mentors.
In 2015, Chef Alfred embarked on his entrepreneurial path, driven by his passion for creating innovative dishes with a Southern flair to cater to people's culinary desires. Then, in September 2020, he made the bold decision to transition away from offshore work and pursue his culinary dreams full-time, doing things his way and in his unique style. Taking this leap of faith was undeniably daunting, but, as the scripture from Philippians 4:13 reminds us, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Chef Alfred attributes his success to the gift and ability to serve others through his culinary talents.
